We are a victim of our own success and now need more space in our award-winning theatre. To our cramped backstage area, we need to add another dressing room which will particularly benefit our youth theatre and comply with present legal requirements, as well as a rehearsal area and storage space.
By dint of ticket sales of our successful shows and intensive fund-raising, the members have raised a substantial amount of money – but building costs being what they are – we need more!
Since launching our fund-raising drive at the Gala evening at the Theatre in October, 2016, the following has been raised:
A GRANT FROM THE FOYLE FOUNDATION OF £25,000.
A GRANT FROM THE WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF GROCERS OF £5,000.
A GRANT FROM THE GEOFF AND FIONA SQUIRE FOUNDATION OF £2,500.
A GRANT FROM THE WALTER GUINNESS CHARITABLE TRUST OF £1,000.
A GRANT FROM THE WILTSHIRE AREA BOARD OF £5,000.
A GRANT FROM THE ST.JAMES PLACE FOUNDATION OF £1,000.
A GRANT FROM THE WILTON AREA BOARD OF £1,000.
A GRANT FROM SALISBURY CITY OF £5,000
DONATIONS BY STUDIO MEMBERS: £35,899.70 PLUS GIFT AID
DONATIONS BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, LOCAL ORGANISATIONS, TRUSTS AND BUSINESSES: £20,000. PLUS GIFT AID WHERE APPLICABLE.
FUND-RAISING EVENTS, GALAS ETC: £5,000+
TOGETHER WITH THE PROCEEDS FROM OUR SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTIONS, WE HAVE £250,000 TOWARDS THE LONG-ANTICIPATED BUILDING EXTENSION.
THE SHELL OF OUR IMPRESSIVE EXTENSION IS NOW COMPLETE – BUT – WE NEED TO FIT IT OUT IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE WORKABLE
SO FUND-RAISING CONTINUES APACE;
Coffee mornings, Bric-a-Brac stalls, social evenings and afternoons continue as always.
AND OUR WORK ON RAISING GRANTS FROM CHARITABLE TRUSTS IS ON-GOING.
If you can help in any way, if you would like to become a DONOR or if you know of any interested parties or have any bright ideas, please contact Jackie Pilkington at firstname.lastname@example.org
