Earlier this year, Studio Theatre’s production of Brian Friel’s gentle, touching one-act play won the Totton Festival of Drama – a remarkable ten marks clear of the second-placed company. It also scooped the Best Director, Best Actress and Technical Achievement awards. This is our first chance to bring it home to Salisbury.
Set in a Moscow café, Andrey (George Goulding), brother of Chekhov’s Three Sisters, unexpectedly bumps into Uncle Vanya’s niece Sonya (Rachel Fletcher). It is 20 years since their stories were played out on stage. What has happened to them since? Over cabbage soup and vodka, truth and lies tumble out.
Afterplay will have just two performances on 15th and 16th October, at a later start time of 8pm and tickets of just £8, available from Salisbury Information Centre (tel. 01722 342860) or www.ticketsource.co.uk/studiotheatresalisbury
