The Fine Times Recorder

A successful production of The Comedy of Errors depends on four very strong actors in the twinly roles, and Studio certainly has them in Rachel Fletcher and Tamsin Jackson, Paul Chalmers and Kris Hamilton-Brain.

There are strong performances by Lorna Matthews-Keel, George Cotterill, Renata McKinnel and Lewis Chalk’s hilarious officer. Congratulations to the actors who were also taking part in Murder in the Cathedral, just weeks ago.

From the very beginning, Director Oliva Dutson draws on her knowledge and experience gained whilst training with the RSC to bring insight, understanding and clarity to one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies with fabulous and hilarious results.

Actors came and went but there was always something to hold attention.  

All of the cast performed well handling very difficult lines, but special mention goes to the Dromio actors for their comedy timing, expression, and characterisation. 

The audience laughed loudly throughout the performance.
